Perseids Meteor Shower Watch Event at John Clyde Preserve

The Perseids is one of the outstanding celestial events of the year — and you don’t need a telescope! Come join the Franklin Township Astronomy Club as we gather in one of the darkest sites in town, with a completely unobstructed view if the sky. Under ideal conditions, observers can view between 30 - 40 meteors per hour. Observing begins at dark, and continues through the night. Bring a chair, bring a blanket or dress warmly (even summer nights can get chilly) and use insect repellant. We look forward to seeing you as we take in the show!
